Tie at the top see Bristol edge Cheltenham on Goal Difference
The season got off to an exciting start at Westonbirt with 9 teams in attendance, including new comers Cheltenham Cougars and Falmouth University and a second South Coast Seagulls team. Cheltenham's debut to the league was promising and they made it clear they meant business. Strong performances against Bristol Bombers and Seagulls saw them tie for points with reigning champions Bristol, the latter just edging Cheltenham on goal difference for the top spot.
