Bristol move clear at the top of the table

The final tournament before the Christmas break saw a total of 10 teams competing at the familiar Westonbirt fields. a few last minute alterations to the schedule saw 2 groups of 3, and a group of 4 compete in the morning with the top 5 teams moving into one group and the bottom 5 into another for the afternoon. Newcomers to the league, Reading, made their first appearance and produced some very competitive lacrosse, earning them a place in the top group for the afternoon and 4th place overall.

Top of the table was extemely close yet again, this time Bristol Bombers were tied with South Coast Seagulls for the top spot, just edging them on overall goal difference. Close behind them, Cheltenham in 3rd place maintain their position at second in the table and will be looking to come back fighting after Christmas.

A strong performance in the afternoon from Bristol's second team saw them finish top of group 2, finishing 6th overall and move up to 7th in the table. Birmingham were hot on Bristol's heels with great performances in the afternoon, winning all their games but one - a narrow lose to Bristol 2-3. Bath City continue to develop and progress at each tournament, finishing 8th overall and moving up to 5th in the table.

4th Reading Wildcats = 15 points

5th Oxford City = 14 points

6th Bristol Bombers 2 = 13 points

7th Birmingham City = 12 points

8th Bath City = 11 points

9th Falmouth Uni = 10 points

10th Bristol Uni = 9 points
